My 6-year-old nephew came to visit with my sister this weekend, and the only "touristy" outing we had to do, was to go see the "Make Way for Ducklings" sculpture. It was a really nice outing - especially since Tm and I had not yet seen it or even seen the Swan Pond.
It was a drizzly day, but somehow it seemed perfect weather for walking around the pond, visiting with the ducks, swans, and other city dwelling birds, and taking in the scenery. It is good to do these things, to see the "sights" within the city of Boston, that has been our home for 2+ years now. I hope we get the chance to do and see more within this city, without the help of having out of town guests come to visit.
Make way for ducklings!
